BCMS Volleyball:
I hope everyone is having a fantastic summer! My name is Ashley Carter and I am going to be the Middle School Volleyball Coach.
Here are some things you can do to prepare for tryouts:
A positive attitude is HUGE! Come in each day ready to play and ready to build each other up.
Practice passing the volleyball using forearms to a partner or against a wall.
Practice serving overhand or underhand. This can be done against the exterior of a building or just in your yard.
Tryouts will begin the week of August 14th. Once the team is selected, practices will be Monday through Thursday. Time and location will be set and shared at a later date.
The more touches of a volleyball the better you are going to be. Practice, practice , practice. Enjoy the rest of your summer.

BCMS Cross Country:
I hope everyone is having a great summer break! With that being said I am
happy to share that I will be the Middle School Cross Country Coach.
For those who may be interested, I cannot stress the importance of starting
to run long distances now. I understand that the heat is intense. Therefore
I suggest running in the mornings or evenings. Start by running 10-20
minutes a day and work your way up as you get more comfortable. We will be
running at least 20-30 minutes at practice following our warmups.
When practice officially begins we will plan to meet on Mondays, Tuesdays,
and Thursdays. We will be running outside. Practices will not last for more
than an hour.
Lastly, please do not forget to bring your physical on our first practice date
which is August 14th. If you do not have a physical you CANNOT participate.
Enjoy the rest of summer break, I look forward to starting a great XC
season and school year! -Coach Ragland
