Good afternoon Buckingham Knights! We have a lot to celebrate! The Virginia Department of Education released official school accreditation information today. We are so proud to announce our Primary and Middle schools are both accredited with conditions and our Elementary and High schools are fully accredited! The hard work of our students and staff during the 2022-2023 school year has definitely paid off. We have a lot to be proud of and to build upon. We are truly slated for success and are well on our way to being fully accredited as a division in the 2023-2024 school year.

Below are several updates to the sports schedule this week:
Volleyball is still scheduled for today since it is an indoor activity. Middle school travels to Nelson, and Varsity/JV host Appomattox.
Amelia canceled tomorrow's Cross Country meet (at Amelia) with no make-up meet scheduled.
The JV Football game has been canceled for tomorrow with no make-up game scheduled.

Good Morning,
Due to the high temperatures today and the possibility of a heat advisory, schools will close at 12:30 today, Tuesday, September 5th, 2023.

Congrats to our runners on their first ever middle school XC meet!
Congrats to Ava Shumaker for finishing 12th out of 68 girls (she also had the fastest time out of everyone on the Buckingham team!).
Congrats to Tristen Miller for finishing in the top 20 out of 53 boys as well.

The Buckingham County Middle School Volleyball game today, Thursday, August 31, 2023, is scheduled to start at 6:00 PM instead of the earlier time previously published.

The Crunch Heard ‘Round the Commonwealth is a special event to increase awareness of Virginia farm-to-school programs. To celebrate the event, participants across the Commonwealth will take a bite out of a Virginia-grown apple simultaneously, producing the celebratory “Crunch.” Together, we will make some noise for farm to school! This year the "Crunch" will take place on Thursday, October 5, 2023.

Souper Bowl Food Drive!
Bring canned goods or monetary donations to the football game on August 25th. Game time is at 7:00 PM.
