
The BCHS SCA is holding its Annual Cookies with Santa on Saturday, December 14, 2024, from 10:00 AM to 1:00 PM at Buckingham County High School. The cost is $5 per person and includes all the listed activities. See the posted flyer for details. In addition to the Cookies with Santa, they are also hosting a Holiday Bazaar that is free to enter during that time.

Tomorrow, Buckingham County Public Schools will honor our veterans with a special Veterans Day Drive-Through Parade! All veterans and their families are welcome to attend.
Join us at 8:30 AM at Buckingham County High School for the opening ceremony, followed by a procession to other schools in the district. Don’t forget to invite any veterans you know to join in! Let’s show our appreciation for their service.

Please join us on Saturday, October 26th, from 6:30-9 pm for our Haunted CTE in support of our high school clubs. The line for the haunt closes at 9 pm. Admission into the haunted event will be five dollars per person. Anyone aged 13 and younger must be accompanied by an adult companion. There will be food available for purchase and free photo opportunities. Parking will be available in the high school bus loop.

It was a true privilege to honor Ivan Monroe Snoddy, Derwood Franklin Guthrie, Mary Shelton Jones, and Gwendolyn Lewis Gregory by presenting resolutions to their families at tonight’s Buckingham County School Board meeting. Buckingham County Public Schools will operate on a normal schedule tomorrow, Thursday, October 3rd. We are excited to remind everyone that the Homecoming Parade will take place tomorrow evening at 6:00 PM. The parade will start at Gilliam Motors and proceed down Main Street to the train depot.
Following the parade, we will host an indoor community pep rally in the high school gym. Due to the weather, there will not be an outdoor bonfire. Please note that the school’s clear bag policy will be in effect for anyone entering the gym for the pep rally.
The first 500 people in attendance at the pep rally will receive a free hot dog and drink.
We look forward to seeing everyone tomorrow night to celebrate Homecoming!
