They must also place classes of horses based on their conformation and other desirable characteristics. The Senior Division team members were Anna Snoddy, Abigail Palmore, Amiah Porter, and Sarah Bryant. The team placed 41st overall out of 60 teams. Piper Scaldio competed as an individual in the Senior Division.

Our very own Dr. Garrett is Vice-Chair of the Superintendent’s Investigative Panel of the Virginia Department of Education (VDOE). The panel plays a role in reviewing and issuing recommendations on licensure cases to the State Superintendent and the Board of Education. The panel reviews applications for initial licensure, requests for renewal and reinstatement, and petitions for the revocation or suspension of a license. Way to represent Buckingham, Dr. Garrett!

Congratulations to our division spelling bee participants! They all did an amazing job and we couldn't be more proud of them.
Our division Spelling Bee Runner-Up is Chance Garrett and our Spelling Bee Champion is Bailey Gentry! She will compete in Richmond in the regional Richmond Times Dispatch Spelling Bee next month. We wish her the best of luck and know she will represent us well.
