The Buckingham County School Board will hold a special closed meeting on Wednesday, May 1st, at 3:30 p.m. in the Cafeteria of the Buckingham County Middle School. The purpose of the meeting is to discuss public contracts.

The Co-Ed Raider Team led by Caroline Browning placed overall 2nd place at Best of the Best Raider, held at Pocahontas State Park. The Co-Ed team would trophy in the following events:
2nd place in the five-kilometer run, rope bridge, team physical fitness challenge, and litter carry.
The Male Team, led by Tyler Selzer, would place 5th overall in the Male Division. Congratulations to the entire Raider organization as this completes their 23-24 season!


This past weekend, the welding fabrication team of Todd Clark (Sr.), James Falvella (Sr.), and Ashlyn Stout (So.) competed in the 59th SkillsUSA Virginia State Championships in Va Beach. The team placed sixth out of ten very competitive fab teams from across the Commonwealth. The team felt extremely positive after their 6-hour competition, and they had a lot of fun throughout. They represented themselves, our schools, Buckingham County, and the district well. Please congratulate them on their fine work as you see them and thank you all for the continued support of our student welders!
